Job DescriptionE! News Digital is seeking a creative, self-motivated, full-time team player to support the Originals Team.
The role will focus on producing Live From The Red Carpet livestreams for award shows and movie premieres, as well as developing and producing multi-platform digital original series primed for audience acquisition, video views, and revenue. This production leader should have live events coverage experience as well as deep digital production experience, particular in the livestream space. The Supervising Producer, Originals will be responsible for bringing the E! News brand to life digitally: ideating and pitching original video series and shoots with talent, guests, and brands, generating and maintaining workflow calendars, producing shoots, and collaborating with the post-production team to create premium content under tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, and able to juggle multiple shows in production concurrently. This person will be expected to note and sign off on show treatments, episode beat sheets, shot lists, set renders, casting, location scouts, etc. The ideal candidate must be a digital pro who knows how to create content that resonates for multiple audiences across multiple platforms. A network of contacts that allows them to staff any type of series or live event, the ability to liaise with production management to build budgets, and the ability to give timely and effective notes to producers will be required. This role will report to the Director, Originals.
- Work as the lead producer on all digital Live From The Red Carpet productions, innovating for multi-platform video strategies, liaising with production management teams, and executing the production on the ground with a team.
- Produce an original digital slate in collaboration with the Director, Originals, which will align with the brand's overall vision to grow and develop an engaged audience for E! News across multiple platforms, drive video views (on and off-platform), increase social *** engagement, and site traffic.
- Build beat sheets, outlines, shot lists and lead digital production and shoots - work with editors to create premium content.
- Pitch and create digital videos and series for built-if sold concepts and branded entertainment for sales teams.
- Develop and produce new digital video original franchises and execute those franchises with the digital video team.
- Develop graphics packages with graphics artists, utilize music libraries, work with DP's on framing and shooting style, etc. to create a clear brand tone on franchises.
- Maintain a digital production schedule, oversee and optimize workflow to keep costs down and tight deadlines met.
- Work with editors to ensure content is being published at the correct times.
- Coach, mentor, develop, and help lead a uniquely talented team of producers, associate producers, editors, and graphic artists.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience producing digital video content, original digital franchises, or working on a daily production within entertainment or lifestyle news, live carpet experience.
- Extremely proficient producer with a strong background in digital video editing and storytelling for a premium brand.
- Skilled manager who can effectively communicate with producers, editors, and graphics artists.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, AVID and/or similar platforms.
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with the ability to self-edit your own work.
- Must be able to work under extremely tight deadlines.
- Ease in developing budgets and strategizing ways to create premium digital productions that are timely, efficient, and cost-effective.
