Your impact:

Oprah Daily - the multiplatform lifestyle brand from Oprah Winfrey and *** Magazines that is making it a daily practice to live your best life - seeks an Associate Producer to help with its video operation. This Associate Producer will be responsible for creating content to support original videos. The role will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, assist with research, casting/booking efforts, element pulling and working closely with video editors, producers, talent and outside vendors. The Associate Producer must have a thorough communication style, be nimble and have the ability to assist in the effort to produce video at scale and on short notice, and have a passion for the digital video landscape. Familiarity with and a passion for the Oprah brand is a must.

What you'll do:

• Assist the Senior Producer in producing videos that feature both staff talent and outside talent
• Identify and pitch new video talent who have expertise in wellness, health and self-care
• Contribute to ideation and development efforts for existing and new franchises
• Work with the video team to build a library of original video content
• Write scripts for various video franchises and do cut downs on post production scripts
• Assist with live productions
• Manage the production calendar for the video team
• Coordinate guest bookings in person and remote
• Coordinate crew logistics, transportation, and *** delivery for production
• Work with editorial and social *** teams to coordinate delivery of content
• Some *** management and production coordination

Who you are:

• You are a creative thinker with the ability to find new ways to present video content.
• You stay on top of the latest trends, especially as they pertain to wellness and self-care.
• You have some field production, post-production and live experience.
• You have a minimum of 3 years creative production experience and a well-rounded list of credits and clips, demonstrating experience in both traditional and digital video landscapes - including for social *** .
• You have a passion and curiosity for multiple genres, and an understanding of the digital landscape and prestige digital production.
• You are deadline driven and results oriented.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are a problem solver by nature.
• You have the ability to work an extended schedule as productions require.
• You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are well-versed in common production jargon.

The base salary for this role is *** ween $64,000 and $66,625 . The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future .

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior *** President of Drama Programming and Development will be responsible for contributing to the creative strategy for *** Entertainment. The Senior *** President will supervise the development of new scripted content, from concept to series, as well as oversee all aspects of production for new and returning shows. The Senior *** President will be in charge of the overall creative activities related to the tracking, soliciting, procurement, evaluation, development, and oversight of the Network's shows They will also oversee every aspect of their shows, including taking full current responsibility for the creative decisions made with producers and all internal departments (casting, marketing, scheduling, research, etc.).

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee shows from creation to airing - casting, directors, music, etc.
• Generate creative notes for projects in active development as well as current series
• Put quality series on the air
• Take and evaluate pitches and scripts for potential development
• Take general meetings for future development and staffing
• Build the seasonal development slate
• Attend staff meetings and report the status of shows
• Make sure all departments are working cohesively to make the *** Entertainment Programming successful
• Track competitive projects
• Create writer and director lists
• Read and evaluate scrip submissions
• Read and evaluate scripts and other written/visual materials
• Staff high-quality writers and directors who are appropriate for *** Entertainment
• Analyze and contribute thoughts to projects in development/consideration
• Meet with creative talent for potential development opportunities

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-400,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Job Description

Dotdash *** is seeking a Producer to join its Lifestyle Video team. As Producer you'll be responsible for delivering videos designed to inspire and inform audiences across the Dotdash *** suite of Lifestyle properties, from Travel + Leisure to InStyle. You will be a creative team player who has a passion for and understanding of the online video space, can develop clever ideas, and possesses the technical skills to efficiently execute a high volume of content across each phase of the production cycle. The ideal Producer understands what makes great social and YouTube video, has a contemporary sense of style and aesthetics, is highly organized, capable researcher, and can comfortably run a set and deliver an edit that brings ideas to life. Proven experience producing video for digital publishers is preferred. Bonus points for experience as an on-camera talent.

Contributions:

• Bring fresh story, execution, and edit ideas to the video strategy and a can-do approach to getting those videos out into the world, fast. Fluidly jump *** ween pre-pro, production and post-production while juggling various productions at once.
• Proficient in coordinating and directing on-camera talent remotely to optimize video content quality and engagement, leveraging strong communication skills and technical knowledge in video production and editing tools.
• Make great ideas tangible. Create treatments, scripts and production plans. Lead sets and oversee edits. See production plans through upload, managing all the production steps along the way, including hitting budget and deadline targets.
• Be able to articulate and emulate best practices for social video that drives video views and engagement.
• Bring a vision that captures viewers' attention and keeps them watching on-site and across social platforms.
• Stay abreast and informed on digital video trends and use your findings to drive *** ter production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from the earliest conceptual stages to ensure the best creative and production approaches are employed.
• Communicate effectively about how to design a set, shoot and light, and be comfortable picking up a camera.
• Review videos and give detailed feedback on edits. From the opening second to the bumper, ensure videos meet editorial and brand standards.
• Edit videos using a variety of tools: Adobe Premiere, CapCut, TikTok, etc.
• Solve big and small problems before they arise, and take ownership of the creative big picture and the tiny critical details from scouting locations, casting, procuring props through thumbnails.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of producing short-form video and experience owning video projects from concept through delivery
• 3+ years experience producing for a digital publisher in the lifestyle space; proven understanding of best practices across social platforms (particularly TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Twitter and Snapchat)
• Proficient in producing edits and editing, with a keen sense of pacing and style that has a social *** sensibility; Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
• Working knowledge of digital cinema cameras and lighting techniques; a sharp eye for what looks good on camera
• Experience working with talent; bonus points for on-camera experience
• Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail. You foresee complications, make quick decisions, and troubleshoot on the fly.

Pay Range
Salary: $62,400 - $75,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash *** 's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
