Your New Role...
In this role you will provide legal support to *** International Commercial ( *** IC) and *** operations on AdSales, AdTech and related technology contracts, news content sales agreements as well as the broad commercial work that comes with an in-house role for one of the world's leading news and *** organisations. This is a buzzy, fast-paced legal team operating across the EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions with great exposure to the business.
This opportunity is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover contact.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- You will be supporting on all ongoing legal and commercial aspects of on-air and digital AdSales activities and marketing of *** IC, including TV sales, sponsorship, digital sales and barter deals.
- Drafting and negotiating news content sales and syndication of factual programmes.
- Setting up and managing AdTech vendors to support *** I and *** digital sales. Working closely with operations, sales and security departments on the implementation of new AdTech vendors.
- Advising on regulatory implications of commercial deals
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial contracts, and providing legal support to other areas of the business related to *** operations when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house
- Qualified UK solicitor or equivalent in non- UK jurisdiction
- A background in commercial legal advice, particularly in an advertising sales, technology or digital services
- Ability to work collaboratively with people in different offices and across multiple time zones
- An understanding of GDPR in the context of digital advertising, marketing and direct to consumer services.
- Experience gained in private practice or in-house team including drafting and negotiation commercial contracts.
- Excellent Legal drafting and analytical skills with the ability to work autonomously with a business-oriented proactive disposition.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.
