Role Details
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer who's passionate about taking complex processes and distilling them into highly usable, clear and satisfying product experiences. This position will concentrate on our Content Discovery experience of *** +. This role will report to the Director of Product Design and will work closely with a dedicated product manager and engineering team to design and deploy a system from the ground up, making sure that our internal user needs are accounted for. About You
You are curious, smart, biased towards action and deeply focused on the "outcomes" of your work. You have an uncanny knack for distilling complex ideas and workflows into simple concepts. You know that great design starts with understanding the problem. You are a designer whose work displays both a pixel-level attention to detail, as well as an acute understanding of broader usability paradigms. Someone who is able to transform complex concepts into simple, approachable experiences that are easy to use and visually balanced, across any device. A team player that lives and breathes the interactive space.
Your day to day
- Craft compelling visual narratives with a consistent user journey that supports the product through your visual designs
- Create pixel precise designs that are on brand and are created based on product requirements and partner input / feedback
- Research the competitive landscape, create user flows and work towards product designs that take into consideration evolving functionality, technological innovation and their effects on the product and company revenue
- Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem spaces like discovery and engagement
- Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our systems and interactions
- Analyze core product metrics and build design solutions that meet business objectives
- Be open and ready to switch gears from project to project as deadlines and priorities shift
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of Product Design experience
- Extensive experience in responsive visual design, layouts, grid systems, visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, animation, accessibility, and A/B testing
- Possess a strong portfolio demonstrating gorgeous UI visual designs
- Ability to rapidly concept, ideate and execute multiple concepts
- Work independently and demonstrate radical ownership
- Proactively gather consensus from multiple internal partners and be able to change tasks quickly based on shifts in priorities or urgent deadlines
- Multiple experiences partnering with other designers, product and engineering orgs to deliver cutting edge design across the entire product lifecycle

- Experience working in an agile context, where they have been a member of a delivery team in a product development environment; working closely with product owners, developers and QA.
