The E.W *** Company is seeking a Facility and Workflow Technician to join our team at **** in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ths individual willw ork to *** ter enable workflows and the facility for employees through problem solving, creative thinking and the ability to combine technologies. Maintain the efficient and effective functions of the building, emergency repairs, schedule maintenance with vendors as well as budget, procurement and asset tracing documentation. Responsible for repairs of video/audio routing, encoded streams, server systems and other technologies as needed. Research services and technologies to leverage content distribution.
What You'll Do:- Must be able to use a variety of equipment including but not limited to: networking equipment, server systems, transcoding servers, video servers, web servers, scopes, switcher operation, iOS devices, digital video cameras, DSLR, NRCS, computer graphics systems, Apple Final Cut Pro X editing, Mac computer systems, broadcast automation and video servers, embedded audio.
- Partner with news and content gathering, distribution and supporting technology workflow equipment, including streaming and content management systems.
- Assist in the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities items.
- Responsible for a wide range of technical repairs on the facility and associated systems including heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and irrigation systems.
- Help to ensure that all facility equipment is maintained properly through daily, weekly, and monthly documented preventive maintenance in order that optimum performance can be expected and achieved. This includes HVAC systems and assigned office equipment.
- As needed, assist in the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
- Assist with plans, budgets, and schedules for all facility modifications.
- Assist with inspections of all construction and installation projects while updating all necessary company managers or directors through progress reports.
- Participate in station safety meetings. Helps to implements preventive measures and recommendations of company Safety Committee.
- Keep facilities and departmental area safe, clean, and organized. Properly handles waste disposal (used chemicals, etc).
- Assist in supervising general facility cleaning, waste removal, floor maintenance, exterior and grounds maintenance, as well as company recycling programs.
- Keep abreast of all new facilities related methods and materials available to further improve productivity and quality of workmanship and/or service.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need:- Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Specialized training/certification may be required
- Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
What You'll Bring:- Ability to effectively communicate with departmental and station personnel as well as vendors
- Ability to work independently under timeline to achieve departmental and station goals with an ability to remain flexible to changing priorities while maintaining composure and accuracy under exacting specifications and im *** te deadlines
- Strong computer skills including file transfer and storage, transcoding processes and ability to remote support
- Good organization, attention to detail and proactivity
- Strong follow through on projects
- Must be familiar with building codes and maintenance trades
Work Environment- Occasionally may be required to reach, climb, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Additional Requirements- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
