Summary *** Animation is looking for a Production Asset Librarian to join the *** Asset Library & Archive (NALA) team. Someone in this role should have a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience working in archives, digital asset management, or related field. The candidate will work closely with animation production(s) to assist with digital asset management processes, including, but not limited to, metadata and taxonomy management, DAM system enhancements, and source material deliveries. The environment is dynamic, challenging, and varied, so the ideal candidate should be an excellent teammate who is adaptable, able to multi-task, and willing to wear several different hats. This role is also comparable to a Coordinator or Sr. Coordinator *** assets position.
Responsibilities: - Key liaison *** ween NALA and the various SpongeBob SquarePants Universe productions, including series, movies and features, to support the needs of production goals and mission and corporate needs
- Strong communicator
- Process a variety of digital production assets, which include:
- Cataloging
- Metadata and taxonomy management relevant to production's needs
- Asset management
- Work closely with Animation Technology team, IT support team, and partners on communicating enhancements and improvements to digital asset management systems, including, but not limited to:
- DAM usability
- UI/UX and system audits
- User management
- File naming conventions (established with TD and pipeline team)
- Managing animation material deliveries, includes, but not limited to,
- Documenting pipeline content and technical attributes
- Liaison with vendor ***
- Collaborate with colleagues across the *** asset management groups, as well as external clients.
- Assist with archiving physical materials in various formats including photographic prints, slides, negatives of all formats, contact sheets, original artwork, memorabilia, and born digital assets.
- Create and update digital and physical inventory records
- Communicate established policies and processes related to archives and related resources
- Conduct research as needed
- Perform duties as needed
- Various duties assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or Experience with archival and preservation, with a focus on born-digital materials and *** asset management
- Knowledge of animation production pipeline and processes
- Experience working both collaboratively and independently
- Ability to adapt to change, remain flexible, and problem solve
- Basic understanding of available DAM software platforms and their functionality
- Knowledge of metadata and taxonomy models
Preferred Qualifications: - MLIS or Digital Asset Management degree or certificate
- Familiar with SpongeBob SquarePants and related productions

Weekly Hiring Salary Range: $46,800.0 - 52,000.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
