RUN Studios has a part-time opportunity for a technically savvy, solution-oriented individual. We are seeking a driven Light System Tech to assist our client, a leader in the video production industry located in the Redmond area.
Video production is an integral part of our clients marketing and communication strategy, and you will be front and center in supporting those productions. Working with the larger production team you will working with Lighting Director or Gaffer to assist the GrandMA Op to address lights. You will also review current power set-up and map out any power additions to make sure current load can maintain new request load.
The work will be on an as-needed basis, hours will fluctuate based on project needs. Must be available to work on site in Redmond, WA.
As a Light System Tech, You Will
Keep safety priority number one
Monitor power additions and subtractions to make sure production crew is safe while working with preset distro power supply
Support production rigging needs
Operate necessary lighting and staging equipment
Take direction from LD Gaffe, or GrandMA Operator
Utilize manual or computer controlled lighting system
Keep lighting equipment in good shape
Work with facility support or accessing lighting fixtures and gak
As an Applicant, You Bring
Basic knowledge of distro power set-ups
Knowledge of power load calculations and how to manage
Knowledge of DMX configuration and set-up
Ability to adapt to sudden change
Knowledge of video production and gaff and grip workflow and gak
Bonus if You Have
Scissor and or Boom lift experience
Experience with both live studio and cine production
Experience as a Master Electrician

Compensation
Pay Range: $30.00 - 40.00 (Hourly)
The successful candidate’s starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
