Position Summary
Veyl Ventures is a dynamic, young, and thriving with a talented team. We are home to some of the fastest growing health and wellness supplement brands in North America. The Senior Writer/Producer position will play a central role helping to share the story of the company brands and help drive sales.
Under the general direction of the VP Creative Operations, the Senior Writer/Producer will focus primarily on long-form, high-profile projects (native and social ads 20 minutes and over, celebrity talent, new brands, new product launches) to engage viewers quickly, generate interest, and convince them to purchase. The Senior Writer/Producer will follow all of their scripts through the entire production and editing process to ensure the final videos are high-quality, on-brand content and completed by requested deadline from upper management. The Senior Writer may also be called upon to assist in copyediting not only for a designated peer, but for other scripts as needed, as well as for mentoring/training other copywriters and brainstorming creative ideas/positioning.
Veyl copywriters have a passion for storytelling and health. They use their deep product expertise to create original content across all brands. A high level of creativity, marketing knowledge, and an ability to recalibrate tactics based on effectiveness are critical to success in this role.

The company is 100% remote (i.e., no physical HQ/offices), so reliable access to a computer and high-speed internet is a must.
Essential Duties
Draft at least 2500 words per week, roughly 8 to 10 pages of compelling content with strong attention to detail.
Oversee all scripts through the entire production and editing process, giving creative notes that are on-brand to elevate final videos and ensuring all deadlines set by upper management are met.
Brainstorm and pitch out-of-the box ideas each week.
Write mostly long-form projects, including VSLs for new product launches and high-profile talent, while also creating short-form content in tandem as needed.
Help producers/directors prepare for shoots and attend shoots as needed either in person, if local, or via Zoom.
Mentor and train Copywriters and Junior Copywriters as needed.
Work closely with the entire writing team across all departments to ensure copy is cohesive.
Be active in keeping a current and comprehensive understanding of company product offerings. Must be able to quickly shift from one product/brand/talent to another as needed.
Research and be knowledgeable on a wide range of health topics, trends, and be able to connect to product offerings in unique and effective ways.
Work with Media Buying team on native ad copy and other requests as needed.
Reach out to medical talent as needed for writing assignments.
Attend all writer meetings, peer reviews, watch parties, production planning meetings, creative tracker meetings, table reads and brainstorming sessions via Zoom.
Utilize company tools to track tasks/projects and update daily.
Requirements
8+ years of full-time, professional writing experience focusing on direct-response copy.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Effective communication, research, writing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to exercise high attention to detail and produce error-free work.
Ability to keep workload organized, set priorities, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Google Drive, Slack, Monday.com, and Zoom.
Experience working in a fully remote environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This position is 100% remote. Incumbent must be able to sit at and navigate a computer workstation. May be required to utilize additional equipment and software listed above to complete projects.
