Job DescriptionThe Production Finance Coordinator supports the EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Global Production Operation, Universal Film Entertainment Group, which includes Universal Pictures, Focus Features, 1440 Productions, and Universal Theatrical Productions. Production partners include Illumination, Working Title, Blumhouse, Amblin Partners among others.The position deals with highly confidential financial and proprietary information. It interacts with Senior Leadership and all areas of film production including Development, Physical Production, Post-Production, Music, Visual Effects, Tax, Business Affairs, and Legal.
Essential Responsibilities: - Provide administrative support to the EVP/CFO Global Production Operations
- Manage a busy, continually changing schedule and high volume of calls while balancing multiple duties as Department Coordinator
- Liaison with Senior Leadership, Physical Production, Post-Production, VFX, Tax, Development, Business Affairs, Legal, Music, Stage Productions and other business units of the Company
- Work directly with production partners such as Illumination, Working Title, Blumhouse, Amblin Partners, and others
- Compile, maintain, and distribute the Film Production Status Report
- Coordinate and maintain a smooth flow of information and documents
- Perform multiple financial and accounting functions, including but not limited to: analysis of financial data, initiating foreign currency hedging, orchestrating production funding (domestic and foreign), and other accounting functions such as production payroll and disbursements
- Handle purchasing for Production Finance, Production, Development, Legal, and Casting departments, as well as reconciliation of expenses
- Coordinate internal events such as screenings and team-building activities
- Coordinate and manage busy travel schedule and reconcile T&L expenses
- Supervise and coordinate interns for department
- Other duties as required
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 2+ years working for a high senior level executive
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Previous Production experience preferred
