In this position, the perfect candidate will:
- Implement quarterly, annual business plans (KAM) to drive sales strategies to support revenue goals. Monthly review meetings with the General Sales Manager is designed to support delivery of expectations.
- Collect and analyze monthly and quarterly revenue forecast information for sellers on a weekly basis
- Ensure each Marketing Consultant achieves revenue targets across existing, new, and digital business lines
- Monitor client results, satisfaction and retention and attend sales meetings with key clients to accelerate the sales cycle, grow the account, and demonstrate commitment to client success
- Work with General Sales Manager weekly on inventory pricing and management to effectively optimize yield, maximize inventory sell-outs, and drive price.
- Review and resolve preemptions daily and manage sales orders and inventory
- Major selling focus on all high-profile sporting and prime events to garner above market cost per points.
- Facilitate a review process for all MC's, consistent and structured, to review performance goals and identify tactics to achieve goals, executing a GAP plan when necessary.
- Establish consistent monthly field rides to clients and provide feedback to accelerate MC performance.
- Execute an incentive system that recognizes individual MC success.
- Maintain a minimum of 10 strong business relationships (clients that are business friends/first person to go to for key business intelligence)
- Maintain a well-developed sales team by identifying future staffing requirements within sales department
- Implementing a process to recruit qualified candidates using Linked in and other social *** tools.
- Support an onboarding process and training model designed to coach and mentor new MC's and MA's effectively.
- Other tasks as needed
Experience needed:
- 3-5 years broadcast sales experience (including television sales) and team management experience preferred
- Proven success in developmental business and multi *** platforms including web and mobile applications
- Passion for contributing to a sales team with a positive mindset
- Effective relationship building, customer service, communication and negotiation skills
- College degree preferred
- An excellent understanding of tv and *** plans, advertising marketplace, and key competition
- Strong understanding of the changing landscape of integrated marketing
- Ability to anticipate, meet and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations
- The ability to adapt to all situations and personality types in the sales staff and client base
