Job Description *** Universal is looking for a Costume Lead to join our Studio Operations team in Doraville, GA.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the costume and wardrobe department to support both our internal and external productions within the broader Atlanta metro region. You'll provide oversight of an extensive inventory of production assets to ensure ideal curation and utilization while managing a team to support production logistics, inventory management, and billing. You will also work closely with Los Angeles based team members to help build and manage key SOPs, system technologies, and standards across the departments.
You will need to be a seasoned production professional able to operate at multiple levels and bring in a forward-thinking operations expertise.
What You'll Do- Manage P&L for the department through daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring of material costs, labor expenses, and revenue streams. Partner with finance and executives to inform and create annual operation budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning
- Determine optimal scheduling and labor shifts including workdays/hours, and overtime based on business volume
- Oversee office administration functions including customer onboarding, order processing, invoicing/billing, client dispute resolution, vendor relations, out-of-state shipping, monthly accounting close, etc.
- Meet with customers to discuss new/continuing show budgets; identify current/future needs and find creative ways to solve production problems. Respond to customer feedback, suggestions, and issues
- Measure and report rental inventory utilization; provide recommendations around asset acquisition, liquidation, and merchandising based on category, period, location, and opportunity for growth and expansion
- Provide design/consulting services for various productions, on-lot events/seminars, high-profile community/industry engagements

What You Must Have...- BS degree in related field or equivalent of combination education/experience
- 6+ years of experience in a business environment, solving complex operational problems with proven record of leadership
- 4+ years of experience in a role that requires application of extensive knowledge of clothing - styles, fabrics, patterns, shoes, jewelry, and accessories by decade
- 3+ years of work experience in film production
- Work experience in Costume Rental House
- 4+ years of experience in business administration, budgeting, and process improvement
- 3+ years of experience in inventory/warehouse management
- Training and experience to identify fabrics, decade and pattern of clothing and efficiently enter it into the database with photos; operate camera booth; troubleshoot IT problems
- Must be able and willing to work any shift as needed. Including shifts standing, lifting, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, and moving up to 25 lbs. of clothing, shoes, and accessories in a warehouse environment
