Your New Role...
The success of the *** E organization lies in the ability to be ahead of the curve on upcoming events such as anniversaries, big speeches, trials in addition to finding outstanding characters and news threads that create a unique story telling opportunity. The Production Assistant will be invaluable in helping to maintain the calendar, research story threads and find characters through social *** and other newsgathering means.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Story research, requires detailed understanding of social *** to assist in gathering information for story projects and finding strong character to help showcase original story telling & cross platform initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills to help maintain and move forward the news calendar. Many coverage decisions will be based on upcoming anniversaries, trials, major speeches & other events.
- A willingness to learn how to carry out a shoot with a photojournalist or to write a text piece to accompany the television piece being put together.
Qualifications and Experience...
- 2+ years' experience in production, editorial, news organization
- College degree in journalism or similar or commensurate experience preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
