JOB DESCRIPTION
We're looking for a Promotion Manager to join *** 11's in-house creative team. Work alongside our Creative Director on branding initiatives in the nation's 2nd largest market.
Responsible for driving *** 11's "The Ones To Watch" brand, working with all departments within the TV station to keep us real, authentic, and on the forefront of innovation.
This includes managing, creating and supervising all news and original programming promotions, topicals, POPs, and image campaigns through all steps - pre-production planning, scripting, supervising voice-over talent and graphic designers, creative editing, sound design and final packaging of promos.
• Responsible for exceptional video production, including writing, directing, cinematography, editing, and a working knowledge of motion graphic design.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide creative feedback to Creative Services team on various projects including image promos, news topicals, episodic show promotion, community events, OOH *** buys, social *** marketing, documentary trailer production, and multiplatform digital creative. Assist in training producers in successful news promotion writing styles and innovative editing techniques.
• Acts as lead producer and supervisor for long-form or special creative content production. Produce innovative and branded news/marketing materials for use on-air, digital platforms, and other mediums.
• Produce assigned topicals, special report promos, image campaigns (station, news, and weather), and syndicated promos from concept to completion.
• Work with Creative Services Director on marketing plans and promotional campaigns using market research and viewer metrics. Assist in developing strategies to maintain and improve local ratings, revenue, and brand awareness.
• Work with Creative Services Director to manage news promotional ad avails on web/mobile and social advertising and Google Ads. Organize branded social efforts by tracking goals, evaluating posts, and developing best practices.
• Supervise Promotion Coordinator for scheduling of *** 11 and *** 11 Plus promo priorities in Wide Orbit. Supervise management of promotional inventory.
• Perform other duties as needed, and as directed by the Creative Services Director.
Must have at least 5+ years experience in producing or managing on air creative and digital and social *** conent in a medium or large TV market or similar field. Promotion/Marketing experience preferred. Experience in innovative writing, editing, and producing brand content required. Must be creative versed in all aspects of production (including directing talent). College degree preferred. Must be able to work on multiple projects at once, hit tight deadlines, be a strong communicator and have strong conceptual skills with the ability to direct talent. Recommended to be familiar with *** 11 News & Programming. Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, *** Encoder) or similar editing software knowledge and Microsoft Office experience required. Familiarity and working knowledge of Wide Orbit, Slack, Quip, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Box is helpful.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $91,000.00-93,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
