Job Summary/Description:
**** is seeking an executive producer to join our team. This management position is responsible for the editorial content and overall look of our PM newscasts. The executive producer will work with producers, anchors, news director and assistant news director to deliver top-quality newscasts.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Will work closely with producers to deliver accurate and compelling newscasts up to our high standard
- Will find ways to improve and innovate our newscast presentation
- Will check reporter's work, anchor scripts, video and graphics
- Will coordinate with technical *** producers (control room) to ensure technical success
- Will regularly line produce newscasts
- Will oversee breaking news coverage
- Will coordinate with other newsroom managers to make sure station initiatives are met
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Empathy for others. A team-builder, with a dedication to collaboration and getting it right.
- Strong command of the English language
- Understanding of broadcast law
- At least three years of TV newscast producing experience
- Track record of supervising others or leadership role preferred
- College degree in journalism or related field is preferred
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
