Production Manager Position
At TCL Studios, we are building a team to create entertainment programs utilizing the latest AI technologies. To achieve this goal, we are recruiting Hollywood professionals with solid TV and film experience.
The AI technologies we utilize evolve on a regular basis. Currently, the workflows are similar to 3D animation, with some motion capture. There is a great deal of visualization to create the look of scenes. The key difference versus 3D animation, is that the tools are easier to use, but much less precise. The environment is fluid.
Production Management:
This is a broad production management role. In general, this person will manage the workflows associated with translating scripts into finished shows. This position will also be responsible for recruiting VFX, animation, visualization and AI talent from the Hollywood professional community --identifying and recruiting experienced, technically savvy pros with some exposure to AI.
Specifically for our productions, the keys roles are:
1. Supervise team in the execution of animated scenes.
2. Coordinate with producers, writers and directors to execute the creative direction.
3. Manage shot lists, notes, assets (videos, stills, audio).
4. Track team hours and coordinate with production accounting on this tracking.
5. Work closely with the lead production executive to manage all aspects of the production.
This is a fluid environment – key roles will evolve.
Key qualifications for this role:
1. Relevant experience as a production manager on TV series or films.
2. Solid experience in VFX and post-production.
3. Some experience with AI tools (nice to have, not a requirement).
4. Tech savvy and detail oriented.

You will manage physical production of interviews featuring name talent and supervise some of post-production.
This will be a contracted freelance position with a part-time schedule over several weeks of production.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in collaboration with Director and Producer to execute the short doc concept.
Managing all aspects of pre-production and production of the film shoots, including sourcing locations, hiring crew and equipment, interfacing with talent and reps, call sheets, and being the on-set producer.
Handling all releases, permits, paperwork.
Managing expenses, tracking budget and production accounting.
Post supervision. Coordinating between director and editorial on cuts, graphics, archival clearance, fair use, and delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Producing and Production Manager experience on documentary, narrative, digital media and/or television.
On set experience dealing with talent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Google Suite, and management level knowledge of post workflows and systems.
Experience with doc scripting and basic editing on Premiere Pro a plus.
