We use technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to explore opportunities, shape business decisions and drive business value. As a Revenue Management Analyst on the *** World Resorts Yield Team, you have the opportunity to manage a demand forecast and use different tools to optimize hotel rates and occupancy. After training, you will be responsible for a set of Resorts and partner with Forecasting, Pricing, Central Inventory Management, Resort Operations, *** Vacation Club, and other teams to improve hotel revenue. What You Will Do
- The RM Analyst level is intended to be an entry level into Yield Management while the Analyst learns the tools and processes to be proficient at the role and work independently of day to day supervision.
- Learn to manage the demand forecast and optimization through the hotel revenue management system for assigned resorts with the goal of maximizing overall hotel profitability and Guest experiences.
- With detailed direction from their leader, leverage data visualization techniques and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with Resort General Managers, Pricing, Forecasting, Marketing, and Resorts line of business to develop strategies in line with the goals of *** Parks and Resorts.
- Begin to understand how the system manages dilution, displacement, upgrading and overbooking.
- Develop an understanding of the technical architecture, system integration, data flows and unique technical capabilities related to the various systems used by the Revenue Management team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor
- Self-Starter
- Experience with basic data visualization techniques
- Analytics experience with data management using SQL, Tableau, SAS, and/or Python
- Proven strong organizational skills and time management with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Three+ years' experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems
- Understanding of revenue management concepts (i.e. dilution, displacement, etc.)
- Ability to interpret complex pricing models to inform forecast i *** uence decisions at a granular level for assigned resorts
- Snowflake/D3, Lilo, TravelBox systems knowledge or experience
- Knowledge of *** Parks & Resorts operations, business units, and product offerings
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative or Analytical field
- Master's Degree preferred
