Series development and story sourcing for this new series in the run up to a Netflix pitch. Focusing on job training programs that aim to put Detroit’s unemployed back to work, this was a hunt for the stories of blue collar workers and the resilience of America’s rust belt towns – A portrait of a Detroit trying to rebuild itself.

Executive Producing all National Geographic content – managing multiple series from pitch through to delivery. Focusing particularly on our flagship commissions; “Behind the Shot” (following Nat Geo photographers in search of the perfect photograph) and “Plastic Ghosts”(Focusing on the efforts to curb plastic waste in the Philippines; from the slums in Manila out to the plastic riddled remote islands).

Series Produced and Directed this ambitious series, following comedian Jamali Maddix embed with extremist groups around the world. After developing the series, I secured access to insular and skeptical far-right groups including the Black Israelites, the KKK, the National Socialist Movement, Israel’s Lehava and Azov Battalion. Produced and directed all shoots, from the frontline in Ukraine to the dark underworld of swastika burnings in the Deep South. Later, producing comedy stand-up segments to punctuate the film and edit producing the final 3 eps.

Working with Spike Jonze for this Viceland pilot, following two independent filmmakers embed in female communities across America. Starting with our most ambitious access – we followed two young transients and our hosts, hitchhiking, sleeping rough and freight-train hopping cross country. Field and Edit Produced.

Produced and directed the Emmy nominated 8-part documentary series about women living in conflict around the world – and the systemic issues that follow. Shooting first in Colombia, I developed a story focusing on female soldier rehabilitation as the 50-year civil war draws close to an end - gaining unprecedented access to FARC fighters and embedding with them in the Colombian jungle. Later in Canada, I told the story of indigenous women that are going missing and being murdered at an alarming rate - following their perilous journey from the First Nations reserve into an international sex trade. Field and edit produced both episodes.

Extensively researched infamous historical feuds from the Frontier and developed 2 episodes from pitch to shoot – building the character arcs of 2 protagonists at war with each other. Following a nationwide search for charismatic historians and experts that could bring these legends to life, I wrote the act breakdown and conducted the interviews whilst managing crew and access on set.

Produced 3 episodes for this 6-part series – focusing and sensitively approaching, insular communities including dark sects of the Pentecostal church, Scientologists, Jehovah’s Witness’ and the Russian Mafia. I pitched the stories, built out character story arcs, wrote the act breakdowns, beat sheets and conducted all interviews in reclusive communities.
