Grant Ryan

I professionally and currently work for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. I film and record with our own DIGISUPER brand of high-grade cameras and equipment for each live in-game play of matchups and as well as any of our MLB team’s features that are used in accordance with our control station’s approval. I also capture footage using our wireless cameras within different sections of the audience at Tropicana Field. I work closely together with each of our Tampa Bay Ray’s in-game hosts in regard to a preset script of assignments that we are given beforehand prior to each live broadcast we are placed onto.

For our team’s MLB Spring Training schedule I worked in our camera operations department and I filmed live content during each of our MLB games. I personally assisted and prepare our national anthem singers and any other corresponding members of our own gameday staff with capturing live video footage right on cue while directly on the field of play of our own team’s personnel performing their gameday assignments to thousands of viewers in attendance. I also am the Bradenton Marauder’s video & audio control room operator during their regular-season games. I’m fully experienced in controlling our stadium’s main video board during each of our matchups. I preset commands into our video board Daktronics software before each game and I also create real-time video edits & playlists within our Newtek & 3 play replay software for each of the live segments that we use on our stadium’s main video board. With that being stated I have full control during our live in-game matchups of every command that needs to be used directly up on the screen. I perform at a very high precise speed of work in order to make sure that everything is always being counted for! I as well run our audio mixer position from time to time and any additional scoreboard responsibilities. Our broadcasting analytics have been still the highest-rated throughout all of the other MiLB teams and levels of play!

I managed and lead crews of ESPN Network based professionals by communicating together with our station when requested to set up broadcasting operations for nationally aired televised covered events that attracted over tens of thousands of active viewers. Under my leadership I have gained the respect and trustworthiness of all of my work colleagues as one of the best videographer’s they have ever worked for within the whole industry. My crew and myself have accomplished many professional highlighted tasks over the past few years with regard to editing, broadcasting, reporting and filming events all during live airing & full ESPN Network coverage.

Started out with the team as an Audio & Visual college intern working with Final Cut Pro editing software to create and finalize team produced video and audio projects of video shoots and photo shoots of our professional athletes to be used during live games and events within our team’s home arena. I have knowledge and experience editing with Adobe software programs as well as Final Cut Pro and Grass Valley during my time on the team. I was then promoted to fully lead broadcasting operations for the team and as well to take control over live photography and videography procedures.
