Adam Fernandez

I worked under tight deadlines on Warren Miller’s "Chasing Shadows" annual feature film as an assistant editor and met daily task goals by communicating with editors and producers. The supervising editor trusted my judgment in assembling segments and I essentially acted as a second pair of eyes for him by sorting through raw footage and creating sample edits. I was also responsible for the creation of the Freestyle Skiing World Cup section after sorting through tens of hours of footage. My technical contributions to the film included logging, organizing, and transcribing footage, audio balancing and sweetening, color correction, and exporting to different formats from Red Camera, Canon 5D, and GoPro footage.

I had the unique opportunity to work as a production assistant for the Kennedy/Marshall Company where I supported film producers Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy and their team of producers with production priorities and task deadlines through efficient communication and scheduling. I assisted their support team in the scheduling of meetings and projects and organized administrative efforts related to office management. I also acted as a technical support associate for any meetings or presentations and remedied all technical or IT-related problems throughout the office. My most consistent role was as a digital media manager where I contributed to promotional materials for Jurassic World and Star Wars. My technical contributions while at Kennedy/Marshall included but were not limited to script and book coverage, scouting for adaptation material, production scheduling, picture and image editing in Photoshop, transcribing and translating interviews from Spanish, video editing, and file conversion.

As a freelance videographer and editor at CraveOnline, I shot and edited footage on tight deadlines in coordination with the video production team for the online brand's 2014 coverage of CES. I also co-designed video production sets and recording studio shoots for featured musicians and shot in-house footage for online video segments. I handled assembly edits in coordination with other shooters and editors and prepped edits by pulling, transcoding, and logging footage. My largest role was as an assistant camera but I also contributed in other areas, most notably in editing.
