Maintain media and AVID project, implement and optimize tapeless workflow, delegate night work, prepare and post exports, and support producers.

Maintain offline AVID project, prepare screenings, create continuity reports, pull requested music, create temp titles and comps in AE, ingest ARRI RAW media. Coordinate with off-site post supervisor, GFX and sound design vendors; turn over to the studio’s facility in LA. Support director and editor as needed.

Supervise FCP workflow for 12 one-hour documentary episodes. Hire post staff; negotiate with vendors; coordinate with production, editors and assistants, archival team, graphics, and engineers. Handle scheduling or tech issues and ensure spec compliance, supervise prep and delivery of specified materials.

Assist supervision of the mixed-format Avid AMA workflow, ensure compliance with domestic and international technical specifications, facilitate and track delivery of milestones, cover assistant editor shifts, write protocol documents, track third-party materials, support producers as needed.

Simultaneously coordinate mixed-format FCP workflows, deliverables, and FTP postings for productions on diverse networks. Maintain clear communication among producers, multiple departments, day and night staff. Delegate AE workloads, media management and transcription. Optimize file-based offline and online workflows, assist new workflow planning and implementation, assist supervision of online and mastering.

Delegate night shift workloads, manage Avid Unity use for multiple edits, set up FCP systems and workflows for development projects, work directly with producers, editors, and assistant editors. Catalog, Dub, and Transcode DVCPro, HDV, AVCHD, and AVI footage, optimize post workflow however possible.

Assemble, batch digitize, and refine offline sequences in Avid, Digitize DVCPro and HDV tapes, author DVD’s, assist producers directly as needed

Transcode 4k R3D media to 2k rushes and HD dailies, synchronize rushes with sound files in FCP, Export EDLs and gather RED media for online edit, log clips, configure compression settings and remote monitoring for multiple FCP suites

Client service, package delivery and pickup, black tapes, load and pull clips via Avid, send media files via T3 and FTP, file invoices, assist in vault

Complete motion tracking and rotoscoping tasks in After Effects, package pickup and delivery in Manhattan, shop as needed, assist producer with wrap binders

Pull audio and video clips and archival materials, digitize and capture media in FCP, transcode and publish video to web, contact press, write correspondence.
