Feature documentary cinematographer in charge of lighting and camera set up/operation. A lot of interviews and rough terrain work. We used Blackmagic 4k and 2.5k cameras with cine primes. The first and main part was filmed for 11 days from California through Oregon and up to Washington. Later dates in southern California and Mexico are to be decided for the middle of 2017. Post production to begin in late 2017.

I was deciding camera placement with the director and lighting scenes with a crew on day one, and day two by myself with the second unit cinematographer. We used the Blackmagic 2.5k and pocket to film, along with cine primes and dolly work. We lit light and day shots nicely, all in the same studio with the same few soft box lights we could borrow. With an 18 page script and 2.5 days to shoot, it wasn't easy. This was a very big learning experience where time and budget were extremely limited.

I was cinematographer and gaffer for this film. I manned a Blackmagic cinema camera and 2 soft box lights with the help of a PA. It was a rushed shoot, but we ended up with nice frames and lighting. Its currently being entered into festivals.
