Ben Hammel

Worked with Hostage Films, traveling to New York, Connecticut and Utah to assist in the filming of the feature. Responsibilities varied from setting up and striking equipment, coordinate travel and equipment pick ups, arrange props, assist in special effects and lighting, and more. The film is currently finishing filming, and is set to be in negotiations with studios to purchase it soon.

Worked with Mike Maguire, CEO of Structural Graphics and member of Network CT, in producing a brand new competition show for future release. Responsibilities included creating overall feel and flow of the show, from rundowns, graphics, music, set design, website, and more. The competition show, set to be released on a television network TBD, is filming its first season in Fall 2017.

Worked with Jameson Glover, founder of JAES Productions, in directing, filming, and editing a feature music video, consisting of 5 artists.

Worked with Dr. Ron Kuntze, chairman of the Non-Profit Institute, in creating various promotional materials for the newly formed division of the College of Business. A promotional video, several brochures, and a button were amongst the media created.

Worked with John Lombard, Old Saybrook Inn General Manager and CT Tourism Coalition Secretary, in creating various media materials. A 50 second animation highlighting the importance of tourism/tourism funding, 3 small business video interviews, and a button/graphic were amongst the media created, much of it to be presented at the state capital to legislatures

Worked under Prof. Wayne Edwards, former ESPN Producer, in live streaming all home football games at the University of New Haven. The live stream consisted of 5 cameras, graphics, playback, commentary, and more.

Worked under Prof. Wayne Edwards in creating an online special about students’ favorite places in the area. Responsibilities included creating several of the packages and stand-ups within the show, in addition to editing the special in its entirety.

Worked with Ed Crane, Town of Waterford Director of IT, in documenting and publishing monthly Board of Education meetings and other events. Responsibilities included operating the camera and audio systems, striking equipment, and making necessary edits.
