I was responsible for maintaining craft services table and beverages, as well as providing seven meals for 15 to 115 people over the course of the weekend.

I performed multiple functions on this award-winning short film- Sound, Lights, Camera, Practical Effects, Puppetry, and Post-Production.

There is no such thing as a typical day at the office for a production associate. The one true constant for this position is the need for constant & clear communication with the Director, 1st AD, Cinematographer, Script Supervisor, Sound, and other production staff to fulfill their needs and the needs of the production. Being a good listener, as well as anticipating what people in the production are going to require and being ready with it is crucial. Ultimately my job is being there to pick up any slack, so the cast and crew are best able to focus on making the project the best it can be. Duties include: grip (helping load and unload lights, stands, apple boxes, assorted gear), running the slate, fetching snacks and drinks from the craft services table, facilitating efficient relaying of information between staff, handling paperwork (collecting time sheets, handing out sides), cleaning (keeping the set and surrounding areas clean, taking care of any trash accumulating around craft services, sets, or anywhere else), crowd control (corralling and managing extras, escorting actors to and from the set, directing traffic, or locking down the set to make sure no pedestrians unwittingly amble into the frame, ruining the shot), having supplies readily accessible, and other errands as needs arise at the moment.

My roles are many and varied, including (but not limited to) cinematographer/camera operator, audio engineer, practical effects, voice over artist, gaffer.
