This position fell under the department of Creative Services. I was responsible for assisting the primary videographers during productions. I also lead a student marketing team where I produced, shot, directed, and edited my own projects. I used Sony A7sii cameras, Canon C100mkii cameras, Steadicam, and other production equipment. I have worked on over 300 projects during my time in this position consisting of web and traditional media.

I worked as a producer, director, technical director, multi-media journalist and more while working for NEWS Valdosta. This student-run news state focused on the residents of Lowndes County in South Georgia with a reach of 30,000 households. This opportunity required knowledge of all areas of studio and field production, as well as the ability to craft relations with members of the community.

During this internship, I worked with the Director of Broadcast to make sure the Basketball tournament had a fully functioning broadcast team made of the high school’s broadcasting students. I taught the students various broadcast skills and provided technical support when needed. The position required the use of Blackmagic Switchers, AJA convertors, JVC cameras, and Buff Technologies replay equipment.

I created the video content for the student newspaper at Valdosta State University. I was tasked with making captivating videos that would not only attract attention to our social media accounts and website, but would also correspond to the articles published in the newspaper.
