Read scripts and confer with producers to determine the types and numbers of performers required for a given production. Negotiate contract agreements with performers and/or agents/managers. Contact agents and actors to provide notification of audition and performance opportunities and to set up audition times. Prepare actors for auditions by providing scripts and information about roles and casting requirements. Serve as liaisons between directors, actors, and agents. Maintain talent files that include information such as performers' specialties, past performances, and availability.

Handle issues related to casting assignments including public relations and marketing. Set up and coordinate schedules for auditions, self-tape invites/eco-cast invites, and call backs. Write offer letters and deal memos. Utilize social media outlets to disseminate information and organize casting calls. Coordinate logistics with the directorial clients, casting venue, and talent agents and managers. Maintain master database of show schedule, agent/manager/talent contact information, breakdowns, and sides. Conduct all business with discretion and confidentiality.

Screen audition footage for applicable talent casting. Manage talent and crew. Fact checking and research. Express SAG/AFTRA rules as they pertained to finances; complete expense reports & communicate financial needs of the team to the financial department. Knowledge of SAG/AFTRA rules/contracts. Script/scene breakdowns. Assist with writing/editing scripts. Assist with set design/props, crafty, and scheduling for the shoot. Acquire releases, talent contracts/timesheets, and relevant tax documents.
