Ora Damelin

Signed on to produce the feature-length documentary, Adapting for the Stage. Worked with my producing partner to apply for grants, create a marketing and fundraising strategy, and develop low-cost filming strategies. In addition, I helped to guide the director to make strong creative decisions. Due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, principle photography has been delayed a year. I am still focused on this project, but it has taken a backseat to more pressing endeavors.

As a co-producer, I drafted contracts for all crew-members, contacted actors for a casting call, created a plan to self-cater the set, helped find and sign crew, and searched for a location, and went on a location scout.

"Kol Eisha" is my first feature length screenplay. I have multiple drafts, and have entered it into multiple competitions, but since it has yet to be produced, I will not assign my work a concrete end date.

Was in charge of handling the lone gun on set, making sure that other crew members could not access it, ensuring it was put away when not on camera, and supervising the child actor who used it in a scene. When the gun was not in use, I helped the production design team to dress and decorate the sets.

As a set dresser on an experimental short film, I helped load in all production design elements and worked with the production designer to dress and decorate the sets.

Wrote a short screenplay for my Screenwriting I class; the script has yet to be produced.

As the producer of my second short film during my first semester, I helped the writer/director to edit his script, arranged casting calls, and procured equipment, catering, locations, and a vehicle.

My first semester in Columbia, film students were split into groups of five, and tasked with directing a five minute short film. I pitched the idea of "Still Bear" to my group, wrote the script, and took on directorial responsibilities. Each student took charge over one or two departments, and worked with all of them to ensure that we were all working together to achieve a singular vision. I organized a casting call alongside my producer, and worked with our actress to create a credible and emotionally affecting performance.
