Anna Fiscus

Script Supervisor on a film shot over three nights. In charge of continuity on a script based on flashbacks and repetitive scenes. Collaborated with art department and camera department to ensure continuity even in the middle of the night. Worked also as translator between the French lead actress and the British director.

I was committed right from the start of pre-production, dealing with both creative issues (with the director) and practical issues (with the producer). I helped arrange and safely manage the hiring then work of two child actors on set from the very first stage of casting to re-scheduling the shoot around the constraints of their limited work hours. I also decided to recruit two Production Assistants to guarantee the safety and efficiency of the whole cast and crew on this unusual set.

I worked as 1st Assistant Director and actively participated to the preparation of this independently funded short film. The main challenge was to fit all the shots in only two days of production, on location in a forest, and including very emotionally charged scenes. Collaboration with all the heads of departments and strong communication were key to ensure the wellbeing and smooth work pace on set.

This short film was written by Luke Bridges and I was chosen to direct it by going through a pitching selection. The film was shot on an Arri Alexa over 3 days on location.

Supervised the health and safety, and schedule of a one-day shoot in a studio, filmed on S16mm.

This short film that I wrote and directed was shot on S16mm in one day, in the studio of the London Film Academy. It was part of an exercise limiting us to a two-page script and two actors. You can watch it here:
