Half-hour music oriented series on Current Television where production teams were embedded with different bands on tour. I was in the field producing/directing for the pilot episode which involved documenting Mos Def’s tour of Japan. Positively reviewed in Rolling Stone and Billboard magazine.

Integral in development and execution of this flagship Current television brand. Led an eighteen-person crew responsible for delivering several hours of Emmy-nominated original content.

EPed and directed a half hour docuseries style pilot hosted by Gavin McInnes, founder of Vice Magazine. Pilot episode involves Gavin “immersing” himself in the life style of a hardcore motorcycle gang called the East Bay Rats.

Developed and executive produced eight-part hip-hop music special. Interviews with hip hop celebrities Snoop Dog, De La Soul, Dead Prez, DMC, Rev Run, Wu-Tang Clan, Russell Simmons, and Lyor Cohen. Earned a Hugo Television Award and several Telly awards

Managed 20-person production team responsible for producing day-of-air coverage at a four day long music festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Production and post-production were all accomplished on location and content was fed via satellite. Also integral in the development of the multi-tiered programming approach

Spark is an Emmy award winning Bay Area arts program SPARK (a KQED PBS channel 9 production kqed.org/spark). Produced several stories documenting the artistic process of artists ranging from sculptors to Carlos Santana.
