Moving content to Max fit well with the evolving editing style I was trying to bring to Season 3. I continued to edit in the 6 act, 1 hour format, but was able to really let scenes breathe and dove deeper into musical choices that were outside the box, but still served the story. Once again I took multiple episodes from rough cut through to the handoff stage, sending a locked cut to finishing.

Season 3 of Restoration Road had some heartfelt episodes including a heart wrenching fire and a church turned home. I was tasked with telling these stories by pulling from a years worth of raw footage, archival images, and newsreel video. The end result were story strings that had emotional impact, did justice to the sensitive stories that were told, and also were fun and exciting to watch.

For Season 2 of Restoration Road, I was able to dig deeper into stories and stylistic editing to bring life to 1 hour episodes. Now airing on both Magnolia Network and Discovery+ I worked with our Executive Producers as well as Network executives from Discovery and Magnolia to bring each carefully crafted episode from rough cut to locked cut.
