Record and mix dialogue, music and sound effects using recording equipment and digital audio workstation. Edit voiceover reels, including dialogue cleanup (removing breaths, coughs, lip smacks, etc). Assist talent in recording new ADR lines. Nudge/place each new ADR line to match to picture in timeline for ADR layback. Prepare for recording sessions by selecting and setting up microphones, creating new session files and cleaning studio as needed. Set up, test and adjust recording equipment for recording sessions; ensure proper usage and tear down equipment after recording session. Manage calendar of recording sessions for the week. Provide students and faculty with sound technical advice and troubleshooting. Audio restoration and clean up of NYFA promos and reels.
