For the short film Turquoise, I wrote and directed the film. This film helped me see a film from start to finish. My job was to write several drafts of the script, scout out locations, decide what shots to use, direct the cast and crew. Finally, I had the opportunity to sit in the editing room with the lead editor to give critique. This was an amazing process and I am looking forward to working on my next short film.

On the feature film Luke & Jo I was asked to work as the Art Director by Solis Films. We had to finish production within 14 days, and we did it. During those 14 days, I was able to make decisions regarding the set design. Working alongside the Production Designer and realizing her creative vision, we were able to create some amazing spaces. My creative design can be seen throughout the film and certain core themes pop out from objects that I strategically decided to put within the film. This role also helped me learn how to delegate certain task to Art PAs in a constructive manner. Another task that I had to take care of was managing costume design, hair and make up. Working multiple task made me a huge asset to the film.

For this short film set in Atlanta, GA I was asked to work as a Production Assistant and also stand in as their Production Designer. Working with actress Kat Dee Holly, who has been seen on Workaholics, and Fray Forde, a comedian in the Atlanta area. Also, I worked with Good Hair’s Director of Photography to look closely at the frame to see what design was most functional for each location. Paying close attention to the continuity of each take was a important role for me. For the dinner scene, making sure the liquid in each glass was consistant with each shot. I designed the restaurants color scheme giving the space a warm feeling to play with the night time setting. Also, by adding one candle at the center of the table made the scene have a pleasant glow. This was a short production, but also a wonderful experience.

Transplanting is a show filmed in the mountains of Asheville, NC. It is my job to help edit episodes of the second season using Adobe Premiere and to also help film pick ups that are needed.

I worked as Assistant Camera for the short film Strange Love. On this production I worked with a C100 and my job was to help select the lenses for each shot. I helped move camera gear, and helped place lights. We submitted this film to the 48 Hour Film Festival in Asheville, NC and won the award for best sound mixing and best writing. This was great first exprience of the 48 Hour Film Festival.
