Kelsey Schwartzbach

This was for the television show, Blood Relatives. On set I was a production assistant with a walkie, responsible for conducting lock ups, wrangling talent, setting up crafty, assisting the art department, and other tasks. While in the office I worked with the production team with various episodes. I wrote short and long program descriptions, created episode titles, two of which were chosen by Discovery network. I also wrote sides for casting, contacted media outlets to license footage and pictures, booked hotels for production crew, and fact checked scripts.

I was chosen by the United States Department of Education to be a student documentarian in charge of creating a documentary showing the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act of 1964. I was required to use my own equipment, film everything going on that day, and edit the entire documentary. Basically I was the director, editor, cinematographer, and producer. I was a logger at the international Broadcasting Center in Sochi Russia for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. I was responsible for logging live and taped sports events, interviews, and special features. In addition, the editing staff would ask for our assistance in locating footage for special feature videos.

I was a media intern for both Comcast SportsNet Washington and Baltimore. While there I edited videos and articles for both Washington and Baltimore websites and then uploaded those articles and videos to their respective websites. I maintained both Washington and Baltimore social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter), and would also live tweet baseball games. Often times I would be the only person in the office and would maintain the website solo.
