Contributed to a 360-degree "Broadway-style Experience" for all our guests. Achieved this by ensuring audio is playing at all times and directing the attention of our guests by using the lights on stage. Interacted with hundreds of dancers of varying age and skill level along with parents, studio owners, and dance teachers each weekend, demonstrating positive professionalism at all times. Before each show, I worked closely with the Event Directors to consider each studio's unique needs in order to craft competition schedules which contributed to efficient events.
Summary
Recently moved to New York City in hopes of pursing a career in Film / Television production. I graduated from Boston University's School of Communication with a degree in Film/Television.

As the sound engineer, I was responsible for all audio on tour. It was my responsibility to EQ a new venue each weekend, EQ the Emcee and announce each performance. As tap and musical theater are common categories, I learned to mix audio live for a theatrical setting ensuring tap (or handheld microphones) came through clearly.

As a member of the video crew, I was responsible for the building, operation, and striking of a single-camera set-up. I learned to anticipate the movements of the performers on stage to create cinematic shots while keeping all action in frame. I was also required to manage all media and monitor the live-stream backstage via our video-console. This experience taught me to troubleshoot efficiently by recognizing the problem and correcting it without drawing attention to our in-house audience.
