Nicholas Jagelski

I worked in the office at Radiant Productions, which is Wolfgang Petersen's company. Every day, I read script submissions ranging from feature screenplays, pilots, writing samples, Specs, novels, and historical nonfiction. I was also tasked with managing the office environment and working the phones.

I was responsible for the monitoring, vending, and safe operation of the sound stage and equipment, as well as hands-on assistance in the proper setup and operation of film cameras, lighting, grip, sound, and other equipment. I assisted the faculty and students when questions arose concerning operations.

I discovered and brought in talent to assemble a cast for a TV Pilot of a Steampunk/Fantasy themed show. I put together the ensemble cast of four characters (One woman, a girl, and two men), as well as the large supporting cast to the episode.

I directed, wrote, and produced a TV pilot episode to a superhero show. When casting the episode, I went through over a thousand different actor's profiles to find the lead actress for the main character, eventually negotiating a contract with an actress's manager in New York to bring her in.

I monitored, vended, and repaired the lighting, grip, sound, and camera equipment that was lent out to the students for their productions. I also took phone calls and worked the computer systems there.

Was brought in at the last minute to production manage a short film that was not in a good state. Succeeded, brought the shoot together, and it eventually entered Cannes Film Festivals' Creative Minds program.
