Studio Operations Managers develop fundraising and marketing strategies to ensure that productions are adequately funded and attract large audiences to generate clients. They're responsible for raising and approving the operating, marketing and production budgets. The operations manager's approval is usually required for expenses such as royalty fees, marketing materials, production staff, performers, lighting, set-designs and props. Training and paying employees, designing and writing brochures and other marketing materials, coordinating the activities between staff and client's productions and ensuring the facilities are properly maintained are also common responsibilities of operations managers.

The artistic director typically reports to the chief administrative officer, although in some companies, the two positions are combined into one. The Artistic Director is responsible for conceiving, developing, and implementing the artistic vision and focus of the organization, and for major decisions about the ongoing development of the aesthetic values and activities, after extensive consultation with the chief administrative officer.

Reporting to the Board President, coordinate the day-to-day and overall company operations, including fundraising, ticket sales, community relations, education programming, office management, and volunteer management. It is anticipated that volunteers will be recruited to assist with many of these duties.
