This film style production was shot on a 4-day shooting schedule. Directed challenging scenes such as an active classroom with over 25 preteen actors, a graduation scene with an audience, family dinner scene, and exterior scenes (in both day and night).

"The Same Conversation" examines the same fight that couples have over and over but when social classes and genders are reversed, audiences hear, see and perceive different nuances in the exact same conversation. This Short Format Special Program resonates with current issues of how gender roles and social classes are seen in today's society. If a woman says that same thing as a man, how it is perceived differently? If a person is of a lower eco-social class, are they considered the less powerful partner in a relationship? This Special examines in how feminine and masculine roles are perceived in society as a couple has that one argument, that one conversation that couples have over and over again. Marjorie DeHey wrote and directed this Short Format program as a critical examination of society's misconceptions of genders and social classes.
