Production Coordinator
I am glad to give a recommendation for Quay. I have known Quay since she was a undergraduate student at Georgia State University. Quay worked as a Production Assistant for the What's In a Doctor's Bag Series. She was a consider ...MORE... ing going pre-med at the time, but her passion for media and production was clear. She took every opportunity to pitch in beyond the parameters of her volunteer position and was eager to learn and help with everything from editing to camera operation and casting. She even pitched in on writing a scripts for the shorts.
Quay later worked with our team again on the International Medical Volunteer Conference and Global Health and Humanitarian Summit, a live annual production which was held at Emory University where she was a transfer student. The first year Quay was volunteer coordinator for the executive planning committee and speaker at the event. She was punctual, friendly, and an all around pleasure to work with. The following years she took the reins in the production coordinating doing everything from booking guests and arranging hotel and travel accommodations to assisting me with organizing presentation schedule and helping to promote the event (which filled multiple auditoriums on Emory's Campus to capacity) by creating witty ads and promotional posters.
Quay is also a talented screenwriter. In addition to helping writing shorts for the What's in a Doctor's Bag series and copy for the GHHS promos, I have personally read several of Quay's screenplays and pilots and to be frankly honest, I found myself in tears from the gripping sadness of the drama, Driftwood and from laughing so hard at the comedy in Lucky Lucia. I hope she will find an opportunity to one day share her stories with the world.
Quay has overcome and accomplished a lot in her young life and I am sure she will go far if given the right opportunities. I am glad to have had the chance to work with her and wish her all the best.
