The summer of 2012, I carried out historical research in English, Russian, and some Ukrainian. I tracked down and contacted characters, as well as reaching out to a Ukrainian museum in Russian. The summer of 2014, I assisted with Massachusetts-based interviews and researched film festivals.
Summary
I am a graduate student at the Columbia School of Journalism, and was selected to take part in the documentary project. In addition to shooting, editing and producing a 30-minute documentary film, I am also working in multimedia journalism.

I was first on set and the last off on all-day shoots in multiple locations. I assisted set up and break down. As DIT, I transferred media/logged footage. I researched restaurants and called in/picked up lunch. I coordinated and managed talent. I returned equipment to the rental house.
