As a freelance assistant editor, I supported a team of up to six editors on a variety of promotional spots for upcoming high-profile feature films. Responsibilities included creating cue sheets and transcripts, media and project management, building editorial templates, prepping spots for color and mix, and prepping finished spots for delivery according to client specifications. An Adobe Premiere and Da Vinci Resolve workflow was used.
Summary
I'm a non-union editor, assistant editor and media manager with FCP and Premiere proficiency. Can work as a local in LA, NYC, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Lafayette-Acadiana Metro area in Louisiana.

An editor and assistant editor well-versed in Avid workflows found themselves out of their depth as they attempted to edit an independent feature film in Adobe Premiere. As the time for sound and picture turnovers approached, they ran into numerous difficulties due to their unfamiliarity with the Premiere workflow. I was called upon as a technical consultant and helped resolve issues such as mismanaged media, incorrectly made transcodes, multiple aspect ratios, and incorrectly linked media. I also helped the editor to better understand the details of how to work effectively in Premiere, and demonstrated ways to replicate functionality from Avid. Finally, I served as assistant editor for the locked picture's sound turnover.
