-One part of a small Locations/Casting team on an unconventional magic/comedy/docu-reality series. -In charge of casting hundreds of real people/non-actors and SAG-AFTRA members of all ages, all booked through official casting calls, craigslist ads, targeted Facebook ad campaigns, flyers and by cold approaching individuals on the street during filming. -Interviewed candidates, ran a digital catalog of selects, delivered selects to the producers, and booked approved cast members. Negotiated pay and call times with non-actors, provided talent with call sheets, cast wrangled on set and delivered payment. Distributed and collected paperwork necessary for network wrap out mandates. -Regularly provided 30+ talent each day of filming, many of whom under strict cast guidelines, e.g. “12 middle school children with private school uniforms,” “40+ crowd of people with improv experience for hidden camera stunt,” “10 vegans and 10 proud meat eaters”, etc. Within a demanding timeframe and budget, often with 1-3 days from receiving locked script pages until our filming. -Preserved an authentic on-camera reaction per the director by shielding talent from the comedic/magic aspect of the show throughout the booking process and on set. -Produced live hypnosis events and was expected to provide large attendance and participation numbers which functioned as casting calls for segments involving hypnotism. -Maintained budget tracking sheets in Excel and Google Docs to keep our department within budget.
