Oversee technical production staff, event managers, promoters, show run, purchasing, risk assessment, licensing/permitting, venue/hotel contract negotiation, schedule, budget, agency resource and all billable components of live event production and on location video shoots. Manage a team of full time Event Managers and dozens of industry sub-contractors, vendors and AV technicians. Plan and lead pre-convention meetings with all key staff, clients, technical directors, security/loss prevention and facilities operations managers. Manage requirements for power, equipment, VIP and crew catering, security and oversee staffing for tech positions, show management and load-in/load-out labor. Manage event supply warehouse staff operations to include all static and consumable event production supply procurement, shipping manifests, marketing and collateral, and determining/securing domestic and international freight. Key pre-planning and “go-to” for relationship management with global finance partners, venue contacts and international promotional partners as well as overseeing on-site and pre-event risk assessment pertaining to client/staff safety and assessing potential company liability. Obtain permits for street closures, sound ordinances, open-burn permits and other related special event approvals for compliant crowd control for indoor/outdoor activities. Connected to a global network of industry contacts and resources including talent, speakers, facilitators, hotels, venues, equipment suppliers, AV technicians, and specialty sub-contractors. Negotiation of contracts and relationship management with exhibition halls, convention centers and hotel venues to include union and non-union houses.
