Tyler Soares

This was a video filmed for the incoming freshman of Montana State University for the year 2013. I directed, and helped plan the shoots, and lead the overseeing of the video from pre to post production.

This project premiered at the Celebrating Einstein event in Bozeman MT in April, 2013, and was accompanied by a live orchestra. My responsibilities included logging and capturing footage, re-working photos in Photoshop, putting together assembly edits, and editing short trailers for the project.

For this short Science Fiction film I worked closely with the Production Designer, designing, rendering, and bringing this futuristic world to life. I also organized, and oversaw the structure of the sets, props, and backdrop of the film.

For this short period piece, I was in charge of working with the Production Designer, creating concept art, organizing the art department during pre-production, and production.

For this short, narrative film, I controlled the creative structure of the film, worked closely with the directer on the structure of the film from pre to post production, and edited the film from the assembly edit stage, to the final cut stage.

This was a short observational documentary on cycling. I logged, captured, and organized footage. I created a story and structure from a heavy load of footage.

For this short project, I worked with the director to create a contemporary set filled with strong detail, emotional touches, and cold color schemes.

For this short project, I acted as Production Designer and Editor. On set, I created a post apocalyptic bunker, and created a futuristic, yet rustic setting. For the editing side, I created a non-linear structure, and worked on the project from assembly edit stage, to final cut stage.
