• Oversee and organize the production plan with the Executive Producers before the production begins • Work closely with the Executive Producer creating and developing new show formats and segments to present to upper management • Staff and supervise the production team during each show season • Organize brainstorming meetings to suggest topics for the show, or promotions • Research topics for program or delegate to a researcher to provide material • Gather material and develop a plan for presenting topic consistent with the format of the show and within budgetary and time constraints • Conducts interviews or directs others to conduct them • Oversee and coordinate the gathering of interviews, video footage, sound bites, music, props, etc. • Oversee and direct editors to ensure that piece conforms to the allotted time frame and that it achieves the desired results with respect to quality, style, appeal to the targeted audience, and ensure storylines are being followed. • Supervise and works closely with the Global Production Executives to coordinate production needs and schedules with Production and Programming Departments. • Handle various administrative functions, securing releases, permits, timesheets, etc.
