Job DescriptionThis is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. As a Digitization Production Assistant, you will handle day-to-day and long-term asset management support for the operations team working in a shared storage environment. You will help manage what production material is stored and/or archived, while also working with various production teams to fulfill footage requests.
Responsibilities:
- Helpthe *** Sports Group with digitizing the videotape, disc and film archive
- Organize and enter metadata for videotapes, discs and film reels in the *** Sports Group's physical *** tracking system
- Review all physical libraries to determine which assets should be digitized
- Prepare tapes to be sent out of house to be digitized
- Assist with the editing of metadata and trimming for new digital files
- Track physical *** shipments coming back to the *** Sports Group facility and prepare them to be sent out for long-term storage
- Support all of *** 's production teams with footage searches, restores, EDLs, and screeners
- Ensure operationally that LTO/ODA assets are being updated as they move throughout the building as they're critical to our operations
QualificationsBasic Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in a relevant TV Production or related field; orequivalent work experience
- Minimum one (1+) yearof familiarity with use of Avid non-linear editing software and Avid Interplay *** asset management softwareor similar NLE
- Minimum one (1+) yearexperience supporting Windows operating environment
- Minimum one (1+) yearof prior studio/remote sports production experience
- Posses a level of sports knowledge
Desired Characteristics:
- Highly motivated and determined individual who can work well independently; self starter
- Prior sports experience and/or prior experience working on large sporting events as a *** coordinator or logger are a plus
- Ability to quickly understand and assess opportunities and/or problems and respond with creative ideas and solutions
- Knowledge and interest in television production and storytelling; demonstrated appreciation for the Olympics
- Demonstrated background in contributing to complex projects
- Sharp eye for visuals and a fresh taste for music
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
