Pittsburgh's #1 Lifestyle and Entertainment show, ****-TV's Pittsburgh Today Live (PTL), is looking for a full- time, phenomenal associate producer to assist with the development & execution of our daily hour-long show, while supporting ratings & revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a creative writer, visual thinker, collaborative teammate, and organized producer who has a curiosity for current events and culture. You'll write scripts, edit video, build graphics, and assist in the overall production of a daily fast-paced, fun-filled hour of local television.
Job Duties: - Serve as the back-up producer: stacking, writing, and timing the show from the studio control booth
- Assist in the production of lifestyle content tailored to a morning audience
- Pitch, book and vet guests for lifestyle and topical segments, including client-based segments
- Field produce live remote productions
- Produce social and digital content
- Write and produce topical content
- Creative track record of producing content
Requirements and Skills: - Bachelor's degree
- 2 years experience in a broadcast *** or similar environment.
- Proven communication skills, both oral & written for broadcasting and digital platforms
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and multi-task
- Shooting and editing content
- Prior knowledge of video asset management
- Experience with line-item producing, backtiming
- Proficient in ordering graphics with LUCI/Chyron systems
- Familiarity with iNews and Grass Valley/Stratus systems
