About the Role & Team
The Operations Training team supports training initiatives and delivery for *** World Operations! We use our expertise to provide strategic and innovative learning solutions to prepare, develop, and enable Cast to deliver incredible experiences for our Guests.
The Senior Manager, Training Strategy & Delivery role will oversee components of the training strategy and delivery of local training plan activities. You will lead a blend of strategy and delivery teams, who are positioned to strategically advance the development of the training experience including assessing areas of opportunity, monitoring the evolving training needs of our Cast, and building creative training programs aligned with business priorities and identified ser *** standards. You will report to the Director of Operations Training.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the training strategy teams responsible for identifying skill gaps, designing curriculum, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives
- Lead training delivery teams responsible for creating local training plans and the delivery of technical training components
- Build relationships and collaborate with internal operations leaders and stakeholders to gain understanding of current priorities
- Create and cultivate an environment that connects teams to trends that advance training effectiveness and nurture the Cast training experience
- Evaluate project plans and establish critical integration points for all impacted (partners, peers, etc.), while holding team accountable on deliverables and to communicate milestones and accomplishments proactively, as well as in a timely manner
- Ensure training solutions are built to enhance soft skills and technical competencies that align with the line of business need, support global initiatives, and deliver business results
- Provide leadership, coaching and development for teams by setting clear expectations, accountabilities and responsibilities in building involvement and ownership to training outcomes and driving results
- Drive continuous improvements with the goal to look objectively at manual processes, challenge the status quo, seek simplified solutions, and leverage technology and automation
- Interpret and use metrics and operational indicators to measure, motivate and improve training performance.
- Manage training budgets in planning and executing training as well as manage targets through cost awareness and proactive financial forecasting
- Develop, mentor, and guide cast members through frequent, candid conversations and clear accountability
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience
- 3+ years of senior leadership experience leading a team of leaders and hourly cast
- In depth understanding of adult learning theory and content curation through scripting and design methodologies.
- Broad understanding of overall Operations Training environment (OJT, Continuous Training and Technical Leadership) to assist in the integration of initiatives into Operations.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing demands for resources.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work with internal and external partners at various levels
- Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into proposals, recommendations, and findings.
- Ability to flex as a leader or as a member of a team, with a dedication to integrity, learning, and excellence.
- Ability to identify and handle issues proactively and decisively with limited direction and oversight while also communicating consistently and escalating appropriately to drive alignment with executive leadership
- Passion and knowledge of the broader theme park & themed entertainment industry.
- Ability to mentor, develop, and manage team of leaders and specialists.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or equivalent experience
