Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of International Indirect Tax and the International WHT Manager.
- Act as a key player in the global withholding tax compliance process, involving project testing.
- Assist in establishing key controls in the WHT compliance process.
- Obtain residency certificates for Global *** entities where WHT is relevant.
- Ensure Certificate of Residency documents are obtained and sent to relevant customers.
- Fill out special tax authority forms and handle any special requests regarding WHT.
- Review and maintain WHT rate (DTT vs local) tables for VIMN OTC and *** finance teams.
- Create awareness on WHT importance within the OTC team and *** Finance through training sessions.
- Ensure proper customer WHT setup is in place where applicable.
- Manage queries regarding WHT and related legislations.
- Arrange WHT refunds if applicable.
- Proactively advise on process improvements and involve in process-related changes.
- Provide ad hoc advisory or compliance support for NY tax management upon request.
- Prepare WHT declarations for international *** entities and arrange the respective payments.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience working in an international environment and/or shared ser *** center or finance/accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP.
- Fluency in English.
- Degree in law or economics.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective in a team environment (world-wide).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Ability to deliver on commitments.
- Desire and willingness to learn new skills.
- Self-motivator with a positive professional disposition.
- Willingness to travel.
