Your New Role...
*** Discovery is searching for a Manager, Workforce Administration (WFA) to join the Global Business Services (GBS) People & Culture (P&C) Operations team. This role will manage WFA team members who support HR Services and HR People & Culture (P&C) Partners with position and employee data management. This Manager role oversees day-to-day processes for the WFA team and assists team members with training. Participates as a subject matter expert in meetings and on special projects around WFA. Assists internal and external clients and P&C Partners with questions and concerns.

The WFA team is the primary data owner of employee data in Workday HCM. The team processes transactions for HR employee data such as position management, hires, rate changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and data corrections in our Workday HCM system. Audits and analyzes data to maintain data quality and ensure data accuracy. They are the system and process experts as it pertains to employee data and transactions.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Oversee the day-to-day WFA activities for the Hyderabad based WFA team.
• Participates as a member of the global GBS P&C Ops management team and assist in setting goals, processes & procedures across the global teams (Hyderabad, India and Mexico City, Mexico, US among others).
• Creates & drives individual team objectives & expectations that align with overall division and Company goals.
• Act as primary support for various P&C teams across WBD.
• Reviews, analyzes and audits data for completeness and accuracy. Run and distribute monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & P&C management as needed.
• Ensures the team meet ser *** level agreements and is responsive to client needs.
• Mentor and provide guidance to WFA team members related to work performance and opportunities to gain additional skills.
• Host team meetings to ensure all team members are aligned with processes.
• Coordinate with technology team to implement and/or research new ideas for system enhancements or troubleshoot system issues.
• Act as final escalation before WFA Lead to respond to requests for assistance and guidance on processes from internal and external peers and clients.
• Manage team members who process Data Correction requests from field or because of internal audits. Work with P&C to identify issues and make corrections to employee data. Counsel P&C when correction may impact other employee data such as vacation accrual, pension, benefits, bonus etc.
• Represent WFA team as subject matter expert in meetings and during large & small projects.
• Assist with Change Management efforts as the result of process change, including the creation of process documentation.
• Complete Performance reviews for direct reports to include feedback on performance objectives and expectations.
• Partner with upper management across the organization on various projects, initiatives and on day-to-day support/escalations.
• Help team plan & prioritize duties & project support work.
• Find opportunities for process improvement/efficiencies and implement as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience...

• Experience: Minimum 5 years Human Resources administrative or related experience required, preferably with supervisory responsibilities from a global entertainment environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience required.
• Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English
• Technical Skills: Experience with Workday HR/payroll or other SaaS payroll tools preferred (SAP or PeopleSoft). Strong skills required with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Relationship Management: Strong relationship skills. Experienced in building and maintaining effective collaborations. Recognized for reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
• Process Management: Skilled in process improvements and problem solving, taking initiative to own work projects/tasks. Ability to manage ad hoc high-volume activities in a fast-paced environment independently.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills. Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and customer ser *** skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly at all levels and in English. Must have flexible and adaptable attitude to cope with fast changing and complex environment
• Leadership Presence: Demonstrates ability to coach and develop team specialists and create a strong employee culture.

The Opportunity

*** is looking for an attorney who will be responsible for a wide array of development, acquisition (licensing) and production matters related to *** 's content programming. The successful candidate will structure, negotiate and draft agreements to commission, develop and produce local programming with various content partners, and should be extremely comfortable counseling internal stakeholders and making decisions that have both legal and business impacts.

The position is based in Seoul, South Korea.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: content license agreements under varying deal types, development and production agreements, IP agreements, ATL agreements, etc
• Conduct legal analysis on and handle issues arising through the lifecycle of content production and exploitation
• Provide guidance to external production partners
• Maintain close alignment with multiple internal cross-functional partners
• Manage, maintain, and update various templates

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience as an attorney, and membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction
• Fluency in both Korean and English
• Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities and judgment. We value practical, solution-oriented thinking.
• Proven ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes & deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred: A background in IP/entertainment teams at a law firm or experience in the *** or entertainment industry as an in house counsel.

Legal Director, Data Privacy - EMEA

Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the United Kingdom immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom.

As the Legal Director, Data Privacy - EMEA, you will be responsible for handling SPE's overall EMEA Privacy Legal program and collaborate with SPE's Privacy Technical & Operations Team. In addition, you will be responsible for providing actionable EMEA privacy legal ad *** and subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the company globally.

This position requires experience working on a wide variety of EMEA data privacy matters as well as the ability to support all aspects of the company's global privacy initiatives. You will be collaborating with partners across the company to provide practical, business-focused, and timely legal ad *** and to support the accomplishment of business objectives in an ethical and compliant manner.

This position will be based in our London office and report to a US-based team.

What you'll do:

40% Manage SPE's Privacy Legal Program for EMEA

• Create, develop, implement, and improve privacy legal processes and tools.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and cross-functional teams to proactively develop and improve EMEA privacy strategy.
• Provide recommendations regarding internal and external resources to support the privacy program.
• Liaise with Sony Group Corporation and its operating companies regarding EMEA privacy requirements and strategies.
• Consult and coordinate with outside counsel regarding local legal requirements, including regulatory filings for international data protection authorities and consultations with European Works Councils.
• Support integration of newly acquired entities within the SPE Data Privacy Program and assess impact on privacy compliance activities.

40% Advise and Oversee EMEA Privacy Requirements

• Provide and coordinate legal ad *** regarding data privacy laws, regulations, requirements, and trends in EMEA applicable to the collection, use, transfer, and sharing of personal data.
• Provide practical, business-focused legal ad *** to HR, Legal, Procurement, IT, and Information Security on privacy matters.
• Advise on data incident response issues in EMEA, including breach notifications, re *** tion plans and communications with regulators.
• Provide privacy support to Corporate & Distribution Legal team in all EMEA M&A activity, including privacy due diligence.
• Provide legal ad *** and support to a variety of SPE line of business attorneys and business leaders as they evaluate privacy implications of, and implement effective privacy solutions for, business activities involving the collection and use of consumer data in EMEA:
• Serve as a centralized resource for privacy developments related to digital marketing in the EU and UK;
• Conduct Legal Privacy Committee meetings and facilitate cross-business discussions;
• Provide a point of escalation for cross-business privacy needs and decision-making;
• Support the negotiation of privacy terms within complex agreements relating to digital advertising and consumer data transfers and use.
• Assist in the preparation of privacy impact assessments by analyzing their effect on the protection of personal data.
• Structure and negotiate data use agreements and data transfer agreements to help ensure inclusion of appropriate data privacy protections.
• Participate in negotiations with third party vendors regarding data privacy issues in a variety of commercial agreements.

20% Support the Privacy Office Globally

• Support the SPE Privacy Office's initiatives and projects as needed, including reviewing, evaluating and implementing proposed privacy requirements for corporate initiatives.
• Serve as EMEA legal privacy lead on all matters to drive compliance initiatives, including international transfers.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Technology and Operations team to develop and implement privacy compliance program globally.
• Advise on privacy program best practices globally in collaboration with members of the Privacy Office.

What you have:

• Qualified as a lawyer in at least one UK/EU jurisdiction
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house legal experience, including providing privacy ad *** for key stakeholders.
• Direct experience applying EU and UK privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines in a business context.
• Experience developing, implementing and improving privacy program in EMEA.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the company.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Flexibility to manage multiple matters, and new areas of expertise as business needs change.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to identify prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively in a complex and creative environment.
• Be an innovative/creative problem solver who can find legal solutions to business issues.
• Be comfortable with a fair amount of ambiguity.
• Be down to earth with high emotional intelligence, good judgment, common sense, confidence, and the ability to act decisively.

• Certified Information Privacy Professional EU (CIPP/EU) preferred.
