We are looking for a VP of Marketing for this newly formed cable channel. Be one of the first hires and score this awesome opportunity to help shape the marketing strategy. Our ideal candidate has experience both driving marketing strategy and ensuring excellence in execution across various go to market approaches inclusive of B2B and B2C efforts. In addition to possessing strong leadership skills to lead the Network Marketing Department, this executive must be able to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment - partnering with Cubs Marketing leaders to ensure the overarching fan engagement ecosystem is honored.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategy, in concert with Cubs VP of Marketing, with the goal of driving revenue growth and ratings along with consistent branding across all Sinclair platforms.
- Drive and lead affiliate marketing efforts to ensure satisfaction of B2B partners
- Assemble a best-in-class performance marketing team to deliver, implement, and measure performance on marketing efforts
- Build and execute a rigorous discipline of analytics and measurement systems to quantify the effectiveness of all marketing and customer satisfaction efforts
- Provide input and significantly i *** uence the direction of our marketing and competitive strategies as well as create advertising and promotional campaigns that compliment Cubs marketing efforts
- Build strong partnerships and establish credibility with the internal team and Cubs Marketing department, based upon a demonstrated collaborative approach, leadership skills and experience
- Work with sales and the product team to optimize strategies focused on customer acquisition, retention, and engagement as well as maximizing synergies within Cubs programming and marketing calendars
- Own and manage customer lifecycle on subscription businesses and go to market strategies for other corporate brands
- Monitor retail, *** and consumer trends and determine implications for our business
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with MBA or Master's Degree in marketing preferred
- Minimum 10 years with B2B and B2C marketing expertise, building and executing an integrated marketing and communication strategy
- Experienced leader with a successful track-record executing an inter-connective strategy, brand building, and marketing innovation to drive revenue goals
- Strong strategic thought process, precise in communicating, and great decision making
- Analytical know-how to build data-driven strategies and measurement systems
- Inquisitive and creative thinking
- A general obsession with putting customers and marketing clients first
- Proven ability to operate in a matrix and cross-functional organization
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong background working with product marketing, sales and technical services teams
- Experience working in *** , digital or related industry a plus
- Experience with Sports Marketing a plus
