Position: Still Photographer
Rate: $600/Day

Looking for still photographers to join our team for a live event on June 14th, 2024 in Friday Harbor, WA.

We will be providing all equipment and will be shooting on Sony A7SIII's with Sony glass. If you have your own gear and are more comfortable shooting with it, please let us know! If using ours, all equipment will be prepped and ready so all you need to do is arrive and begin.

We'll be moving from boat, to side-by-sides so must be comfortable working in a fast paced, outdoor environment.

TRAVEL: As the event is on Friday Harbor which will require taking the ferry from Anacortes, WA to Friday Harbor, WA. We will set up travel arrangements to the island and cover all ferry costs for getting you to the location. Please note, you will be responsible for your own travel to/from the Anacortes ferry terminal.

Food & beverage will be provided.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Shoot and edit daily news stories, breaking news, special reports and stories as assigned with or without reporter using non-linear, computer-based editing equipment.

• Set up and operate Live U streaming equipment.

• Edit materials to match script prepared by reporter, producer or associate producer using on-location facilities or any other location required.

• Work with reporters to get complete stories and makes suggestions on how a story should be produced.

• Be able to drive, operate and handle all necessary equipment and/or other equipment used in live transmissions.

Shoot assigned news and sports stories in a creative, clear, and accurate manner.
Set up lighting and audio as the situation dictates.

1-2 years' experience pitching, interviewing, shooting, writing, editing, and delivering video content on deadline.
Must be able to acquire a valid MN driver's license.
Must be physically able to carry, shoulder, and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more), as well as carry support equipment (i.e., tripod, lights, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two to five years of experience as a photojournalist in a medium to major market.
Two-to-four-year degree.
NPPA style shooting experience is preferred!
FAA Part 107 license and drone flight experience a plus.
